Eric Kent Sonoma County Pinot Noir Appellation Series 2022 2025 L'Assemblage Part 2 Hand-harvested and aged 18 monthsEric Kent's own note on this bottling: they probably made it too good for the price. Hard to disagree. Sonoma Coast fruit in a strong 2022 vintage gives bright, juicy red fruit and boysenberry, with a subtle spice note and just enough French oak to frame it. It's structured and serious without taking itself too seriously, which is a harder trick than it sounds. Drink it now or hold it a few years.
